Are you MCS Certified?
We certainly are!
We will register your installation on the MCS Database and this will enable you to claim SEG Payments from your energy provider.
We are also a member of the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC) and we are registered with QANW - this gives us the ability to offer Insurance Backed Guarantees to our renewable customers in addition to our workmanship warranty.
How much will I save on my energy bills?
On average, a solar battery system saves the typical house between £200-£400 per year. It also cuts your carbon footprint by about 0.42 tonnes per year.

We can give you a better idea of what savings you will make after we have surveyed your property. We will then issue your with a complimentary Performance Report - this shows info like projected savings, generation and payback period as well as positive impacts like reduction in carbon footprint.

What is the maximum number of panels I can have?
There isn't really a set answer to this question, because it depends on roof space, inverter size, grid system permits etc. Why not call us so that we can undertake a site survey to find out what your requirements are.
We can then talk you through the design and other components like batteries and other renewable technology.

Large systems need pre-approval which can take longer to pass through the application process; it's best to plan ahead if you are thinking of going solar!
Is a battery system better than solar on it's own?
We love a battery system and could waffle on about them all day.
However, each property is different and so are the needs of the household - this makes this it a tricky question to answer.
One thing we do know, is that the cost of energy is going up and batteries do make alot of sense when it comes to saving money - why? Because rather than sending your excess power back to the grid for very little return, a battery will store it instead, that way you can use your own stored energy, when the sun goes down for FREE. Combine a battery with a SMART Tarrif from your energy provider and you can earn as well as save.
What if my property isn't South facing?
You don't need a south- facing property to benefit from solar panels because modern solar panels can capture sunlight from various angles, not just from the south.
While south-facing roofs do get the most sunlight in the Northern Hemisphere, east- and west-facing roofs can also generate a good amount of energy, especially if the panels are properly tilted and positioned. Solar panel technology has improved so that it can work efficiently even with partial sunlight or lower angles, meaning you can still save on energy costs and reduce your carbon footprint, regardless of your roof's orientation.
Will you add bird proofing in the quote price?
Yes we include this as standard very time. We se high quality steel mesh which will stand the test of time whilst keeping those pesky critters out.
Is scaffold included in the price?
Yes we like to use local reputable scaffolding providers and will take care of that for you.
Do I need to get planning or approval from National Grid?
Systems with an output of less than 3.68 kWh are usually pre-approved for connection to the grid. This means that things will move alot quicker in terms of paperwork and installation.
If you have a larger system in mind, we can apply for permission on your behalf. It can take a few weeks though and is not always granted, so it's best to get on the case sooner, rather than later. We're here to help with all that, so get in touch.
Do you offer a warranty on your workmanship?
Yes we do. We offer a written guarantee for our work which is backed up by an Insurance Backed Guarantee (IBG).

We include these free of charge.
Is solar worth it?
We work carefully at the design phase to make sure that shading is considered and we use industry approved software to figure out the best placement to get the best results.

As far as the south facing rule is concerned, it's true that south is king, but there are other options available such as splitting panels across roof faces, using optimiser technology and thinking creatively about how to maximise your generation.

Are you VAT registered?
We are VAT registered but Solar Panels and Battery Systems are available to buy VAT free until 2027 if you are a domestic customer.)
